Bilbao Air, the Promoting Corporation of Bilbao`s Airport was founded in October 2001 with the firm objective of increasing the use of Bilbao`s Airport, not only among Bilbao`s inhabitants, but also among all those living in the neighbouring provinces.
OBJECTIVES OF BILBAO AIR
- Make of Bilbao`s airport a regional airport with an international character by increasing the number of international flights with the opening of new routes and strengthening the existing routes to tourism destinations.
- Optimise the signposting and accesses connecting to the airport.
- Improve the quality of life and support the creation of jobs in the area’s municipalities.
- Collaborate in the optimisation to make the most of the airport’s facilities.
- Increase the tourism development in the whole of the Biscay Bay area.
